U.S. Army Soldiers from the 3rd Mobilization Support Group conducted the first-ever Army Reserve Subject Matter Expert Exchanges with the Philippine Army Reserve during Exercise Salaknib and Exercise Balikatan 24 in April. Over three weeks, service members exchanged knowledge on policies, processes, and systems at various locations across Luzon. This bilateral exchange aimed to enhance institutional knowledge for successful mobilization of Reserve Soldiers for contingencies. Sponsored by USARPAC, these exchanges are a part of the extensive history of security cooperation between the U.S. and the Philippines. The Reserve SMEE program, conceived by leaders from USARPAC, 9th MSC, and the Philippine Army, aims to strengthen partnerships and interoperability through a multi-year framework of annual events.
