Meritorious Unit Honor for Oregon Guard Cavalry Unit

Here's a short descriptive synopsis for DVIDS: The 3rd Battalion, 116th Cavalry Regiment of the Oregon Army National Guard received the prestigious Meritorious Unit Commendation during a ceremony at Orchard Combat Training Center in Idaho on May 8, 2024. The battalion earned the honor for exceptionally meritorious service providing convoy security operations throughout two-thirds of Iraq from 2010-2011 during Operation New Dawn.
