The 5th Marine Division has been activated twice in history - first for service in World War II, followed by the Vietnam War. Every year, veterans from this unique unit gather to break bread and share their stories together. This year featured keynote speakers like retired Maj. Gen. Juan Ayala and 12th Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps, retired Sgt. Maj. Harold Overstreet. Participants were treated to a rendition of the Marines Hymn in Navajo by Thomas Begay, one of two remaining original code talkers, and listened to various presentations from fellow members.
