Soldiers from the U.S. Army Veterinary Readiness Activity, Hawai'i, engaged with students at Hale Keiki School on Sept. 18 as part of a Food Safety Month outreach initiative. The team, which oversees food safety for military installations across Oahu, delivered interactive presentations on the importance of food hygiene and proper handling. Soldiers demonstrated food safety techniques with hands-on displays and UV light experiments, captivating students ranging from preschoolers to 6th graders. The event highlighted the Army’s commitment to community education and food defense, with a follow-up event planned at several local commissaries later in the week.
