As Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) sailed off the coast of Southern California for a Family and Friends Day Cruise Aug. 17, 2024, 15 Delayed Entry Program members stood side by side on the ship’s flight deck, raised their right hand, and took the oath of enlistment into the U.S. Navy.
